Florida State Parks Photo Contest - Register and submit your favorite Florida State Park photos in the monthly contest for a chance to win a Florida State Park Tervis (r) Tumbler and six day entry passes to Florida's state parks. The 12 winners of the monthly contests will be entered in the Annual Photo Contest. The Annual Contest First Place winner will receive a Family Annual Entrance Pass. Second and Third Place winners will receive an Individual Annual Entrance Pass. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on the 20th day of the month to be included in the next month's contest. Monthly themes are listed on the main Photo Contest page. Places to Sea Photo Contest - Princess Cruises is looking for amazing vacation photos taken by amateur photographers. Each quarter, the entrant with the most inspiring photo will win a free cruise for two, and three runners-up will receive prizes from Nikon. Ends March 14, 2017

Annual

2017 Cowboys & Indians Photo Contest - Six contest categories: Landscapes, Portraits, Action, Wildlife, Equine, Instagram. A winner will be chosen from each category. The winning entry and runners-up will be published in March 2017 issue of Cowboys & Indians. The winners of the six categories will also receive $500. One entry will be selected as the overall winner, and one entry will be chosen for the cover photo; those two winners will each receive $1,000. Deadline: Oct. 28, 2016

Graying Muzzles 2018 Photo Contest - Sponsored by The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs. The contest will open in January 2017.

22nd Annual Lake Superior Photo Contest - Sponsored by Lake Superior Magazine, accepting photos of the Inland Sea and its region. Five categories: Nature, Lake/Landscape, People/Humor, Artsy/Altered, Maritime. Grand Prize: $239 prize package; 5 First Prizes: $39 prize package; 5 Second Prizes: $33 prize package. Smithsonian.com 2016 Annual Photo Contest - Seven contest categories: Natural World, People, Travel, The American Experience, Altered Images, Mobile, Sustainable Travel. Nine prizes will be awarded; Grand Prize is $2,500. Deadline: Nov. 30, 2016

Sony World Photography Awards Competition - For photographers of all backgrounds and ages. Ten categories: Architecture, Culture, Enhanced, Motion, Nature, Wildlife, Portraits, Still Life, Street Photography, and Travel. Prizes for Best Overall Photograph: All submitted images must have been taken in 2016. Prizes include $5,000, equipment, and other benefits for the Open Competition Winner, and other prizes for the Category and Shortlist winners. Deadline: Jan. 5, 2017

Union Bank Vermont/New Hampshire 2017 Calendar Photo Contest - The contest theme is "Community Life in a Small Town." Photos must represent the theme of community life in Northern Vermont and Northern New Hampshire, where Union Bank has a presence. First winner receives $500 and the winning photo will appear on the calendar cover. Individuals with winning photos selected for the monthly calendar pages will receive $50. Deadline: Oct. 5, 2016
