Weekly

Birder's World Photo of the Week - A new photo is chosen every Monday, and every other month a professional bird photographer picks the best Photo of the Week over the previous two months. The winner receives a free one-year subscription to the magazine, plus the photo will be published in the magazine.

Parade Magazine Snapshot - Have you captured an interesting or unusual moment that always brings a smile to your face? Win $100 or $25, depending upon whether your photo is selected for publication in print or on the Parade Magazine website.

Monthly

Apogee Magazine's Monthly Cover Photo Contest - Enter your favorite photo(s) to grace the cover of Apogee Photo Magazine. Winner also receives a copy of ACDSee 8.0. The deadline for each month's cover is the 23rd of the month prior (i.e., for the November issue, the entry must be received by Sept. 23).

BabyContest.com - Monthly baby photo contest with cash prizes. Current deadline is May 31, 2008.

BetterPhoto.com (Free Contest) - No entry fees. BetterPhoto.com (Cash Photo Contest) - Grand Place winner receives $1,000; First Place winner receives $500. Nearly any subject is acceptable. Deadline: May 31, 2008.

Drs. Foster and Smith 25th Anniversary Photo Contest - Thirty winners every month (ten 1st Place [$300], ten 2nd Place [$200], and ten 3rd Place [$100]). Ten categories: Dog, Cat, Fish/Aquarium, Pet Bird, Pond, Wild Bird, Reptile, Ferret, Small Pet, Horse. Monthly First Prize winners are eligible for one of three Anniversary Photo Contest prizes.

National Wildlife Federation Caption Contest - Entries judged on the basis of wit, creativity, humor, and originality. Winning entries receive a two-product prize package worth over $100.

PamperedPuppy.com - Send in pictures of your pampered pooch! Ten prizes to be awarded. Open to adults over the age of 18 in Canada and USA (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Ten prizes to be awarded. Deadline: May 31, 2008.

picture.com - The International Library of Photography holds continuous contests, about one every month. Entries are accepted on an ongoing basis. The annual Grand Prize is $10,000.00. The Grand Prize for each individual contest is $1,000.00. Other prizes as well.

Quantum Leap Strategies - Selects one winning photograph each month that captures the essence of the "Beauty that Surrounds Us." Winning photographer receives $250, plus a donation of $250 is made in the winner's name to the winner's choice of a charity organization that focuses on helping the blind. Submit one photo per week, with a week beginning on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of the month and ending, respectively, at midnight on the 7th, 14th, 21st or the last day of the given month.

Soaphoto.com - Amateur digital photo contest with four winners chosen each month. Prizes include Samsung cameras.

Turtle Times Monthly Photo Contest - A "good will" photo contest; the winner will get his/her name and winning photo on the front page of TurtleTimes.com.

Apogee Bi-Monthly Photo Contest - Current bimonthly photo contest theme is "Digital Collages." Prizes are an iPod Nano 2GB and online photography class, Power Retouche Photoshop plugins, and The Shuttermom Gold Package. Quarterly

Ranger Rick Photo Contest - Nature photo contest open to kids 13 and under, with parent or guardian written permission. Winner will be featured in the "Ranger Rick" magazine and website, receive a Certificate of Recognition, and receive 5 complimentary issues of the magazine featuring the winning photograph. Winners are selected every three months. Remaining Deadlines: July 31, Oct. 31, and Jan. 31.

Sigma Photo Contest - The Sigma Corp. will hold a photo contest every 3 months, open to any Sigma user.

Annual

5th Annual Amazing Animal Photo Contest (by Animal Wellness Magazine) - Categories: Best Photo; Most Artistic; Best Bond (human/animal); Biggest Attitude; Best Nature Lover; Funniest; Best Smile; Best Eyes; Most Athletic; Best Pals. Prizes, plus winning photo will appear in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

Cabin Life 2008 Photo Contest - From CABIN LIFE magazine/Fladmark Publishing. Categories are On the Wild Side, Life at the Cabin, and Fun on the Water. First- , second- , and third-place winners will be chosen in each category. Entry deadline: Sept. 12, 2008.

8th Annual Everyman Photo Contest - No submission fee. Categories: Black & White; Landscape/Nature; People/Portrait; Travel/Architecture; Macro/Abstract; From the Attic; Buddy James Best Title. Cash awards for First, Second, and Third Places. Deadline: Sept. 1, 2008.

Wildlife in North Carolina 2008 Photo Contest - Open to amateur and professional photographers. Photos must have been taken in North Carolina since 2003. 2009 World Press Photo Contest - Open to all professional press photographers. Entry forms released each October; judging takes place in the beginning of February each year.
